- Certified Web Developer (CWD)

Web Developers are proficient at creating web site interactivity. They use database tools and custom applications to prepare the site for dynamic presentation of content to the visitor. This certificate is offered by WOW (World Organization of Webmaster).
- Web Programming

- This certificate will give the ability to provide technical support and guidance to web development staff in addition to the programming the Intranet needs to be interactive.
Professionals will primarily work with webmasters to provide interactivity through databases, run and maintain all Web servicers running various operating systems such as Unix or Windows NT, and keep current on all technological updates and Web developments. Specific responsibilities can include requirements analysis, design of Web interfaces to business databases, application implementation, and programming of database update routines. This certificate is offered by Oakton Community College.
- Web Site Support & Maintenance Certificate
- This certificate creates professionals with wide range of duty. Typical duties include: meeting with department contacts to develop their sites, coding HTML, working with graphic designers to develop "home page" graphics for each department, training identified content owners to use Web conversion tools such as Word Internet Assistant to convert their own documents to HTML, creating graphics for lower level pages, keeping up to date on web technologies, creating online order forms using Adobe Acrobat, working with Web Programmers to develop interactive databases, writing technical user guides, keeping all user departments up to date on what they can do on the web, etc. This certificate is offered by Oakton Community College.
- I-NET Certificate
- i-Net+ certification targets individuals interested in demonstrating the baseline of technical knowledge that would allow them to pursue a variety of Internet-related careers. The i-Net+ exam was specifically designed to certify entry-level Internet and e-commerce technical professionals responsible for participating in the maintenance of Internet, Intranet and Extranet infrastructure and services as well as the development of Web-related applications. .Certification not only helps individuals enter into the Internet industry, but also helps managers determine a prospective employee's knowledge and skill level. This certificate is offered by CompTIA.
